Does Scalp Med really work? For most people the answer is yes. Actually, it has to work because it contains minoxidil, which has been clinically proven to re-grow hair. The questions are: how well does it work? And is it worth it?
Hair loss treatments have come a long way in the last decade or so. This is because of two chemicals that have been manufactured recently—minoxidil and finasteride. Both prevent hair loss and regrow hair. However, there are significant differences.
Minoxidil—the primary ingredient in Scalp Med—does not require a prescription, and the only side effect is itchy scalp and dandruff. Finasteride (also known as Propecia) does require a prescription and has some serious potential side effects, such as sexual dysfunction. It also can’t be used, or even touched in some cases, by women. Minoxidil, on the other hand, is an effective hair loss treatment for women.
Scalp Med is seen as a significant improvement upon minoxidil alone because it includes additional ingredients. Special moisturizers eliminate the itchy scalp and dandruff caused by minoxidil. Scalp Med also contains additional nutrients and vitamins that help hair grow. Most users seem to agree that Scalp Med is an improvement upon using minoxidil alone.
But Scalp Med is more expensive than minoxidil. Many users gladly pay the extra cost because of how well Scalp Med works for them. Others can’t see a significant enough difference to justify the cost.
The fact is that Scalp Med, like all hair loss treatments, affects people differently. We all have different bodies and chemical make-ups. What works for one person may not work as well for another. So the answer to the question, “Is Scalp Med worth the money?” is entirely up to the individual.
There are two things to keep in mind if you’re considering a hair loss remedy like Scalp Med. One is that it takes time. Scalp Med won’t re-grow your hair overnight—nothing will. So patience is required.
Another thing to remember is that you need to act quickly if you’re losing your hair. Hair follicles that are absolutely dead won’t grow back no matter what. So start thinking about a good hair loss treatment today—not tomorrow.
