Not a practical joke after all

On our first wedding anniversary, my husband asked me to make a list of things I would want to receive as a gift so that he’ll just choose from it. First on my list was diamond heart jewelry because that’s really what I want. A spa treat was second, running shoes third and the list goes on. When our anniversary came, he gave me a playing card. I opened it and got two ace cards, one heart and one diamond. I was about to complain and say that it wasn’t funny at all when I saw something glimmering inside the box. There it was, my diamond heart-shaped pendant! I hugged my husband immediately to show how delighted I was.
